How we believe in supporting women

WPP’s newest women-led partnership agency, Mando-Connect, on how we believe in supporting women, including our pro-bono work with Coppafeel!

Mando-Connect was launched in June 2017 by Becky Munday (CEO, Mando). She is one WPP’s longest standing female directors and a proud member of WPP’s Walk The Talk Group, a group dedicated to supporting women within WPP. Launching a new agency was her bold move for 2017 and she is long-term supporter of International Women’s Day. “It is time to really look at the barriers across our industry, to achieve gender parity fast and to invest people based on their achievements and potential, and nothing else.”

Her new agency, Mando-Connect has a unique data-led approach to developing partnerships and, in only 9 months, has secured an impressive client list including major brands like Virgin, Merlin Entertainments, VisitBritain and A+E Networks, as well as innovative digital brands like Readly, MoveGB and Bookchoice.

Sir Martin Sorrell is a supporter of their unique approach:

“Mando-Connect makes smart use of over 40 years’ hard-won knowledge of people’s response to promotions. Their clients should love it.”

The entire leadership team are bold advocates for women. Part of that support includes their pro-bono work for women’s breast cancer awareness charity CoppaFeel! The agency worked with the team at Boob Towers to develop a new partnerships strategy and is currently deep into the implementation phase, with exciting partnerships being developed across the fashion and beauty sectors. Charlie Hills (MD & Head of Strategy) explains, “We want to help CoppaFeel! educate young women across the country to check their boobs regularly. Partnerships is a very effective way to communicate with this audience, in a way that really connects. We are proud and privileged to support this charity and young women everywhere.”
